Choosing a Wedding Venue

I don’t envy couples trying to choose a wedding venue in the Lake District – there are just so many, and every one is different. I genuinely do not know which one I would choose if I was in that position. And as a photographer they are all different again: great gardens, great views, great buildings. And I get to turn up and take photos.
These are just a few of the venues I visit from time to time.

Karen & Paul, Netherwood Hotel, Grange

I was going to say how lucky we were that the weather turned out to be fantastic, instead of the expected downpour, and then I chose three indoor pictures!

Thanks to Karen & Paul for a wonderful day – and some great food.

Sam & Kevin’s Wedding, Netherwood, Grange

Another beautiful day for Sam & Kevin’s wedding at the Netherwood hotel in Grange-over-Sands last weekend. Thank heavens for sunblock!

The ceremony room was packed out, as no doubt the bar was, to quench everyone’s thirst!

Group shots over, I took the happy couple around the gardens for some photos, finishing on the staircase in front of the hotel.
